O.G 2024: how is the French team preparing for cybersecurity challenges?

France will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in less than three years across its territory. This planetary event, which generates hundreds of billions of euros in business, is also arousing the interest of criminals, activists and other terrorists. As a reminder, 12 million attacks per day were foiled during the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 (including 420 risky events) and for the London Olympics, 212 million fraudulent connections were detected.

Toshiro Muto, Director General of the Tokyo Olympic Games Organizing Committee, said ahead of the Olympic Games in Japan this year: “If I had to choose just one challenge, it would be security. There are many terrorist threats around the world. This is not just a physical threat, but also a threat of cyberterrorism. "

In the current context where the power, the multiplicity and the complexity of the attacks are raging and where France is a prime target:

  • What cyber threats weigh and could weigh on France and the Games?
  • How is the France team organized?
  • What lessons have been learned from the Tokyo Olympics?

Geopolitical, reputational, economic and security issues… the challenges that await us are numerous. Le Cercle invites you to dive into the heart of cyber preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for an evening.

We will have the pleasure of receiving:

  • Ziad Khoury, Prefect. National Coordinator for JOP Security (CNSJ) - Ministry of the Interior
  • Thomas Collomb, Deputy Director of Security - Olympic Organizing Committee (OCOG) - Paris 2024
  • Daniel Le Coguic, Senior Vice President, Public and Defense sector of Atos and responsible for the structuring program "Security of major events and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games" within the CSF
  • Bertrand Le Gorgeu, Sectoral coordinator for major sporting events, National Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI)

Debate moderated by Mélanie Bénard-Crozat, Journalist, Editor-in-chief of S&D Magazine

"Back to Fundamentals" : is it still relevant today?

In October 2011, Patrick Pailloux, then Director General of ANSSI, launched at the Assises de la Sécurité his famous reminder to Back to Fundamentals. An injunction not to forget the fundamentals of what was then called computer security. 10 years later and while the cyber risk has never been so high and so widespread, has this message been heard or is it still relevant today? What is the posture of large companies?

4 representatives of large organizations will come to discuss and debate during this evening of the Circle hosted by Florence Puybareau, Director of Content of DG Consultants:

  • Gabriel de Brosses, Cybersecurity Director, La Poste Groupe
  • Mylène Jarossay, Group CISO LVMH et CESIN President
  • Olivier Ligneul, Cybersecurity Director, EDF Group
  • Arnaud Tanguy, AXA Group Chief Security Officer

Cooperate & share:
the winning challenge for the ISS

[Le Cercle in digital]

In the ISS sector, collaboration between the different actors is proving more and more necessary and even essential. Because the danger is so multifaceted that it becomes illusory to face the threat alone.

  • Why collaborate when everything is going well?
  • How to do it when the crisis arrives? How to work with peers, suppliers, public authorities?

A debate moderated by Loïs Samain, CISO and co-founder of the Comptoir Sécu podcast and Florence Puybareau Director of content at DG Consultants.

They will receive:

  • Bertrand Blond, Head of Cyber  Office, ComCyber
  • Luigi Rebuffi, General secretary, European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO)
